There are certain artists within the industry that seem to slip completely under the radar, despite them possessing huge amounts of talent. With all of that said; Baby Sol emerges within music and shines a ray of hope that maybe one day true talent will take its place at the top of the charts, instead of countless clones produced to line the pockets of greedy music executives.

Baby Sol is someone who has been making moves within the industry for quite some time now, featuring on various other artists work and now with the upcoming release of her EP, she is bound to shine in her own right. Introducing the world of music to her unique and soulful blend of music, something which we definitely need more of within the industry. Taking Us All By Surprise: Rumer

Rumer is an artist who definitely took me by surprise this year, I wasn’t aware of her before hearing the amazing ‘Slow’ on the radio and thinking amongst myself that it was some recently surfaced Karen Carpenter masterpiece, as they seemed to have that same tone to their voice and it seems that was a common misinterpretation while reading some of the comments from the video on Youtube.

I rushed out to buy Rumer’s debut album as soon as it practically hit the shelves in the music department of my local Asda supermarket, now I don’t usually buy any album off the back of one song, unless it’s an artist I truly respect and know that the music will be to the highest of quality. I haven’t looked back on this purchase, it turns out that this is easily one of my favourite albums from this year. Rumer is definitely an artist I will be playing on my iPod for a very long time to come, incredible talent, incredible album.

LeaLea Jones has been a name who has been within music since she was a teenager, has released singles as a feature artist and has performed to some big names within music; politics; etc. So it baffles me that this artist still isn’t as well known, considering she deserves so much more success within music and has delivered music that just sounds so fresh and unique, something we definitely need in music at present, especially when everything is sounding so similar at the moment.

Lupe Fiasco Always Willing To Bring Something Fresh

Lupe Fiasco is an artist I truly respect within Hip Hop music, he always brings something fresh to the game and his lyrics and flow are always guaranteed to be something pretty special. Now, we have been waiting for what seems like such a long time for Lupe’s next project, which is said to be title ‘Lasers’. I am really excited for this album, if the songs we have already heard are anything to go by. It sounds beyond incredible, but then we don’t really expect anything different from Lupe when it comes to music, he’s always on top of his game. Excited? I know I am!

Now I know that the previously released ‘Lasers Manifesto’ is old and has been on the internet for quite some time now, but it will definitely give those who do not know what to expect with this upcoming project, a better insight as to what to expect, followed by a snippet of a song that surfaced a while back and the music video for ‘I’m Beaming’ from the upcoming project.
