Future Star: Tamanda Walker

Singer/songwriter Tamanda Walker was born and raised in Botswana, but it was in London where she studied at the Vocaltech College completing a Diploma in Jazz and Pop Vocals. It was whilst she was on this course that Tamanda decided to pursue learning how to play the piano and where she made progress in her songwriting; which ultimately caught the attention of Yak Bondy, who works for 19 Management (Simon Fuller’s company). It was he who persuaded Tamanda to pursue what he considered as a ‘raw’ talent within music and it was from this that she went on to win the Sibelius Award for Songwriter of the Year. No doubt there will be bigger and better things to come from this very talented artist, as she continues to go from strength to strength.

If you just so happen to be in London or fancy going to a great gig this coming Friday 19th February, then you are sure in for a treat as Tamanda showcases her talent at IndigO2 where she will be doing an exclusive promo for her EP, tickets are a snip at £10 and can be purchased via emailing here and stating how many you would like to purchase.
