A big thankyou must be sent to Soul Bounce who introduced me to this rather amazing artist, who has taken it upon herself to cover a Beyoncé song and I am actually very impressed with Mélissa’s interpretation of such a big song that almost everyone is familiar with. Now it has to be said that I am neither a fan of the original version or the artist whose song it is, but I am very much a fan of this version, which boasts the Soul that for me the original lacked. Mélissa brings her own unique way of covering this well known song changing it in style and sound, almost to the point where you don’t recognise the original, infact, you’d be forgiven for thinking this was the original. If you are going to cover a song, then this is how it should be done.
