Janelle Monáe definitely has so much potential, a lot more than she is gaining credit for, that’s for sure. If anything, it is her record label (Bad Boy) which is holding her talent back from showcasing how amazing she is within music. But then Bad Boy has a reputation for holding talented artists back from achieving so much more, in favour of the more commercial artists taking the limelight. As Jennifer highlighted, by Janelle switching to a label that understands her talent more than Bad Boy obviously does, she could be even bigger within music and this is the kind of music the industry needs right now. Especially with so much rubbish taking centre focus. We need unique artists like Janelle switching things up within music.

Oh I've heard she's very good live, she looks good live and what makes it better is that she's very unique. I've liked her since I heard her earlier material.
