Nneka is a singer/songwriter born in Nigeria, who in her late teens relocated to Germany to pursue her dreams of singing. Since moving to Germany, Nneka has been doing her own thing within music taking influence from her younger days back home in Nigeria and picking up on new experiences she’s since had in Germany.
Upon finishing her debut EP, ‘The Uncomfortable Truth’, Nneka toured Europe performing alongside the likes of Gnarls Barkley, Sean Paul and many others.
I would seriously recommend checking out this artist, having just recently scored a hit in the UK, with the song ‘Heartbeat’, she is definitely someone to your attention focused on, as her material promises to take you on a journey of sounds influenced from her Nigerian roots, right through to her influences since moving into Europe. Both of her albums, ‘Victim Of Truth’ and ‘No Longer At Ease’, are definitely recommended.
