The Definition Of Incredible: Jill Scott

Now, most people already know that I adore Jill Scott’s work; her music is usually on play wherever I go and I really do respect her as a writer. It could be down to the fact that I also am a writer, I write Poetry mainly and have been a fan of Jill for as long as I can remember. She’s one of those artists that consistently delivers amazing material, just when you thought her previous project was as good as it could get, she comes back with something that slaps you just as hard in the face. She seems to a very talented person in general, not content with having an amazing music career, Jill is also a dab hand in acting too, having starred in many a movie (including, Tyler Perry’s ‘Why Did I Get Married?’) and a hit TV series (‘The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency’). With that said, it has also been announced that Jill will be starring in an upcoming project, ‘Sins of the Mother’, which will apparently revolve around a student returning from her studies to face her alcoholic and abuse mother (who will be portrayed by Jill Scott), only to be confronted by a mother who is sober and has a three year old daughter in her new life. This production is said to be based upon the novel, ‘Orange Mint and Honey’, which was written by Carleen Brice. Jill is also all set to reprise her role within the sequel to ‘Why Did I Get Married?’ and is set to be titled, ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’, this will be worth checking out as the first movie was great. All of this from a woman who gave birth to her first child earlier this year. No doubt, she’s just as incredible in her new role as a first time mother.

All in all, Jill Scott is a talent not to be messed with.
